Have you been putting yourself in agony of thoughts of how you and your ex can get back together?  Well it is not going to take you anywhere if you do not know what you want from the relationship.

Think for a minute.  What do you really want in the relationship if you and your ex get back together?  You should have a clear picture of what you are expecting this relationship to be.  You  need to be able to answer these four questions before you can move onto getting your ex back.

Ask yourself some of these questions:

How do you see yourself?  Are you secure with who you are?

What are some of your deepest values, the ones that you hold onto and won’t change?

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

What are your goals in life?

After you have asked these questions and answered yourself, you may have a better understanding of what you want in a relationship.  If you do not possess adequate knowledge of yourself, or a positive sense of self, then an intimate relationship will be difficult or impossible to sustain, whether it is an ex or someone new.

You need to know your own guidelines for a relationship.  Know where you have set the boundaries for your relationship.

These are all important questions that you should answer if you want to get back with your ex.  With a clear picture of what a relationship looks like, you will have a better chance at surviving your relationship.

Therefore, it is very important to examine all of your feeling and needs regarding any future relationship. Honestly look at what you must have and what you cannot live without.

Once you have established who you are and what you want for yourself, then you may be ready to go to the next step to get your ex back.

Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure, you need to be able to recognize the traits of a healthy relationship.  You may want you and your ex to get back together, stop a divorce or work on healing a relationship after emotional or physical infidelity. 

Without the knowledge of what healthy relationships look like it will be hard to follow the patterns of living in one. 

I came across an article this morning written by Brett Blumenthal – Sheer Balance.  She states that there are 6 signs that suggest you’re in a healthy relationship. 

These are:

• Loyalty
• Respect
• Unconditionally there
• Trustworthy
• A Genuine Sounding Board
• Dependability

These 6 traits make a great checklist to stay on track to move your relationship forward in a healthy manner.

Every relationship guru has their own spin on how you and your ex get back together.  And I do suggest the Magic of Making Up if you are still looking for some solid, down-to-earth steps to take.  But maybe the real problem is how you view life.

I found this video of Will Smith giving some great words of wisdom here.  If you listen to it I think you will find it uplifting.  Take in what Will has learned over the years and put it into action in your own life.  If you really get a hold of this you may find that you and your ex get back together by your new attraction to life.

I like the point he makes that everyone has talent but greatness is achieved with skill and nothing is impossible.  What do you think?

So what is the big secret?  Don’t panic and stay cool and calm.  If you really want you and your ex get back together, if you want your ex back and stop divorce, then take T Dub’s advice.  Stay calm about the break up and agree with it.  I know it seems contradictory to what you want to do or what you feel, but believe me it works a lot better than begging to return.

Let’s review.

We had a great relationship, she broke up because she said it was too serious and she had to experience more out of life and needed space. Prior to this, she was in love with me.

If you want your ex girlfriend back then the first step is to make contact with her again. Ask her out to do something fun and casual, something you both enjoy doing. Don’t make a big deal out of it and don’t talk about the relationship while you’re out with her.

The idea is to let her reconnect with that original positive energy that attracted her to you in the first place without feeling any “seriousness” or pressure from you.

Also, remember that girls are attracted to guys that appear confident, emotionally strong and independent. You can let her know you still care and are open to getting back together, but don’t do it in a way that comes across as needy or desperate.
